Hello! My name is Avery and this is my writing portfolio. I am currently a student at the University of Denver; double majoring in psychology and kinesiology, as well as a double minor in criminology and writing practices. When first starting at DU, my career path was focused around Forensics, which is where my criminology minor comes from. Halfway through my college career, I decided that I wanted to be an athletic trainer instead, so I added a kinesiology major.

I studied abroad in Fall of 2025 in Nicosia, Cyprus. While there, I traveled all around the island, as well as to Amsterdam and Athens. I truly grew as a person while being abroad, and I learned a lot about myself that I wouldn't have learned if I did not leave the country.

I am heavily involved on my campus at school; I have a position on the board for club volleyball, and I work four different jobs at the Ritchie Center for Sports and Wellness. I also enjoy attending campus sporting events and student-organized events.

Outside of school, I love hiking and being outdoors, playing pick up sports, painting, baking, going to the gym, and hanging out with my friends (of course). I also have an intership with Okanagan Hockey for athletic training.
